The ISMA Measurement Form & Rating Certificate is available to download here.

The Excel document above contains the Measurement Form & Rating Certificate from section M30 in the Measurement Instructions of the International 6 Metre Class Rules.

The form was approved by a unanimous class vote at the ISMA AGM in 2024 and since then has been approved by World Sailing for inclusion in the latest class rules for 2026.

In order to use the form, you only need to enter data into the cells containing blue information, details and numbers. You can tab from one cell to another as you enter the data, or click on a specific cell containing blue data in order to change the input.

All the other parts of the form (in black) are locked and cannot be adjusted, so that as the required information about the yacht and her measurement data is added to the form, the rating is calculated.

Please note that the form you download contains illustrative input data only, i.e. it is an imaginary 6 Metre with data entered to create a rating of 6.000 – please enter your own data in the blue cells only.

When the measurement form is complete, you can choose to print to PDF format which creates a four page certificate that you can then either save or print out.

The form is open access for all yachts, sailors, owners, ISMA members and measurers, and it is also the same form that each MNA (your World Sailing Member National Authority) is required to use for the Measurement Certificate for a 6 Metre yacht.
